| Abstract |
In 1995, less than 1% of new cases of HIV were
attributed to injecting drug use. According
to the latest HIV incidence data available,
more than 90% of new cases diagnosed in Russia
over the past year have been among injecting
drug users (UNAIDS 1998). There is a trend
being towards a younger age cohort, and an
increasing proportion of women. |
