| Abstract |
The purpose of this second meeting
of the ‘EC AIDS Vaccine Task Team’
was to review the work done by the Commission
towards the development of an AIDS vaccine,
since the first meeting held in March last
year; to discuss new Commission initiatives
in support of the same; to explore EU-Member
State collaboration in developing a preventive
AIDS vaccine and to prepare for the Member
States’ Health Experts’ Meeting
to be held in July, where the AIDS vaccine
will be on the agenda.
Representatives from the pharmaceutical industry,
the European Investment Bank, European medicine
regulatory bodies, Member states, developing
country collaborators with the Commission
and the Commissions‘ Directorates of Development,
Industry, Science and Research attended the
meeting. |
