Abstract § Surveillance has moved from reliance on ANC sentinel surveillance to also considering “risk surveillance” using STI rates and behavioural surveillance especially in young people, and monitoring trends in indicator diseases such TB and hepatitis.

The presentation of various models of Voluntary Counselling and Testing that include “opting in” or “opting out” of options for testing that may be used to incorporate VCT in STI settings.
